Marcos Vargas (MA, English, 2007)

Marcos Vargas, MA in English, 2007, is the new Director of Secondary Education for the Montclair School District, overseeing curricula in English and English Language Arts, and English as a Second Language.  He comes to the Montclair district having served for several years as the District Supervisor of English Language Arts (grades 6-12) with the Irvington Public Schools.  Marcos wrote his MA thesis on Shakespearean negotiations of race, supervised by Dr. Naomi Liebler.
