Fawzia Afzal-Khan to Participate in Discussion on Media, State and Society in Pakistan

Thursday October 29th, 9PM (PAK) 12noon (US EDT), Fawzia Afzal-Khan will be participating in a panel discussion on a book entitled, From Terrorism to Television edited by Qaiser Abbas and Farooq Sulehria. Afzal-Khan’s article, “The Politics of Pity and the individual heroine syndrome: Mukhtaran Mai and Malala Yousafzai of Pakistan”, appears in the book. The panel will also include Faizullah Jan, Afiya S Zia and Qaisar Abbas and will be moderated by Raza Rumi.
