Chris Condon ’20 to Release Comic Book

English major Chris Condon ’20 has a comic book being released by Image Comics this June. That Texas Blood has been described as “Paris, Texas gut-punched by No Country for Old Men” and “True Grit meets Breaking Bad.” Image Comics, known for series such as Walking Dead and Spawn, is the world’s third-largest publisher of comics and graphic novels.

Of Chris’s writing, Nerdist raves, “His power really comes from how well he crafts small character moments and builds atmosphere with the sharing of folkloric story tales between the people who inhabit the world.”

Condon is also releasing an independent digital comic through Patreon with the artist Jacob Phillips, a “pulpy noir adventure” called Brutal Dark.
