James Patterson Teacher Education Scholarship 2017-2018 Winners

Ten English majors won the prestigious CEHS James Patterson Teacher Education Scholarships for 2017. These recipients were selected by dean of CEHS in consultation with the faculty. The application process includes an academic review, an essay, faculty references, a writing sample, and an interview before a panel of faculty from both the Education program and a major area of study. These students all exhibit a “strong dedication to the teaching profession and an ability to articulate inspiration for becoming a teacher” of English or English Language Arts.
