Arye Janoff, a former MSU doctoral student who graduated this past January, has won a student numerical modeler award from a NSF scientific center called CSDMS

The award is designed to support and encourage highly capable individuals to continue studies in Environmental Science or Engineering with a strong component in one or more areas of Water Quality Control and Environmental Protection

The New Jersey Water Environment Research designed this award for PhD students working in hazardous wastes in New Jersey.

Dr. Jessica Miller, Assistant Professor, was awarded this honor by the Office for Social Justice and Diversity

The Middle States American Association of Geographers held their regional meeting, where multiple student posters were recognized.

Dr. Yang Deng received the award for his project studying emergency water treatment with ferrate(VI) in response to natural disasters.
