National non-profit organization seeking students for paid positions campaigning and doing outreach to aid in closing loopholes in the Clean Water Act
Posted in: Uncategorized
This summer, we’re working in Ridgewood for Environment New Jersey on a campaign to close loopholes in the Clean Water Act. Loopholes in the law leave 50% of our nations rivers and streams unprotected from pollution. Currently, more than 4,000 miles of New Jersey’s streams are listed as "impaired" meaning that they are so polluted that you can’t swim or fish in them and you definitely can’t drink the water.
So we’re hiring students from across the state as paid staff to help with our campaign and citizen outreach work this summer and fall in our Ridgewood office. Could you forward the job announcement below to your students?
As paid campaign staff, students will build grassroots power, learn the building blocks of political organizing, and work closely with our senior staff management team. The email below describes our organization and positions available, and has a link to a form for students to fill out if they would like to hear more about campaign opportunities. Can you please forward this email to your students?
