High School Partners

Montclair State University’s Dual Enrollment Agreements provide an opportunity for high school students of junior and/or senior standing (16+) to earn college credit by taking college-level courses while still in high school.

We are actively accepting requests for dual enrollment agreements with new high school partners. Students must be prepared for the academic rigors and have the maturity that the university setting requires, as demonstrated through the recommendation of their guidance counselor and/or school administrator and parents/legal guardians.

Why Participate in a Dual Enrollment Program?

While gaining an understanding and appreciation for potential careers, students have the ability to earn college credits while simultaneously fulfilling high school requirements. These courses are offered at a notably reduced tuition rate and provide students with experience in the college setting. Credits earned within the program are typically transferable to most New Jersey institutions as well as many schools outside of New Jersey.

Process for Creating a High School and University Dual Enrollment Partnership

Agreements between the two partners are drawn to cater to the needs and advancement of the students while offering rigorous academic coursework and a great college experience. Students who do not attend one of the schools listed below can apply to our Early College Scholars Program. For more information, please email earlycollege@montclair.edu.
