Student Food Insecurity Resources

A study conducted by the University’s Campus Hunger Free Task Force found that 41.4% of Montclair State University students surveyed between 2018-2022 had low to very low food security. Commuter students fared significantly worse than campus residents on a number of dimensions related to food insecurity.

  • You can help address food insecurity of fellow students by using your plan to purchase pre-packaged goods to donate to the campus Food Pantry or by donating unused flex to the Swipe Out Hunger program.
  • To ensure the Commuter Dining Deposit enhances student access to nutrition while on campus, participants will also receive a wide array of special low-cost meal offers, extra discounts and loyalty rewards throughout the semester!
