Dr. Meiyin Wu appointed to NJDEP Ecological Processes Standing Committee
The Science Advisory Board (SAB), which the Ecological Processes Committee is a part, provides independent peer review and advice on scientific and technical issues relevant to the DEP’s mission.

Dr. Meiyin Wu, Professor in the Department of Biology and Director of the Passaic River Institute (PRI), was recently appointed to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Standing Committee on Ecological Processes. There are four standing committees that report to the NJDEP Science Advisory Board:
- Ecological Processes
- Public Health
- Water Quality and Quantity
- Climate and Atmospheric Sciences
The NJDEP Science Advisory Board provides independent peer review and advice to the NJDEP Commissioner on scientific and technical issues relevant to the Department’s mission.
CSAM is a consistent partner of the NJDEP with several current and past advisors serving on these committees. Dr. Mark Chopping and Dr. Greg Pope, Department of Earth and Environmental Studies Professors, are members of the Climate and Atmospheric Sciences Standing Committee.
