CSAM Participates in Montclair School District’s Spring STEM Festival
On Sunday, April 30th members of the CSAM community participated in the Festival held at Edgemont Elementary School
Posted in: Community Engagement
The event, sponsored by the district Parent Teacher Association and originally scheduled to be held in Edgemont Park, was open to all district students in grades K-5 enrolled in any of their seven elementary schools. Engaging children beyond the classroom, with hands-on activities and experiments, provides them with opportunities to explore, investigate and experiment with STEM concepts in a fun and engaging way!
The Festival provided an opportunity for some of our departments, programs, and student clubs and organizations to make community connections, while exposing young students to STEM. From slime to oobleck, to elephant toothpaste and gemstone and fossil digs, to a geometric bubble station, flower pot painting and plant giveaway, to a oral hygiene demo and water purification system, there is no doubt our faculty and students inspired some new scientists and mathematicians!
