Can I work out while sick or with allergies?

If you have COVID-19, fever or fatigue, it is suggested that you skip working out until you have recovered from your illness.
Strenuous exercise may increase complications and prolong the time your immune system needs to clear the infection and to facilitate recovery from the flu-like symptoms. If you have mild symptoms, such as runny nose and sneezing, it is usually okay to exercise
It is best to listen to your body and consider those around you, if you choose to work out in a public setting, according to Dr. Stephanie Silvera, a professor of public health at Montclair State University.
