Join Active Minds to decrease the stigma related to mental illness!
Posted in: Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) News
Active Minds is a student organization at MSU that empowers students, aims to increase awareness about mental health issues on campus and helps students utilize resources, making it easier to seek help as soon as it is needed. Active Minds strives to eliminate the stigma associated with mental health issues, so that students feel like they can openly express themselves without feeling as though they are being judged by others. Active Minds serves as a liaison between the student body and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and works to improve campus mental health. This organization works with other psychology related student groups on campus (Psychology Club and Multicultural Psychology Scholars) and is a great first step to becoming a CAPS Mental Health Ambassador.
