Rachel Scheperle, PhD, CCC-A received a New Investigator Travel Award, funded by the American Auditory Society. The purpose of the award is to provide travel support to new investigators who have completed a doctoral degree (or post-doc training or residency) within the past five years. Applicants with appointments in academic programs should be at junior faculty levels (e.g., instructor, assistant professor).  The primary aims of the American Auditory Society are to increase knowledge and understanding of the ear, hearing and balance; disorders of the ear, hearing, and balance, and preventions of these disorders; and habilitation and rehabilitation of individuals with hearing and balance dysfunction.

Dr. Scheperle joined the faculty in the Doctoral Program in Audiology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the Fall of 2016.
