Dr. Mary Boyle and colleagues receive a Meritorious Poster Award for their research

The poster, “Informativeness of Structured Discourse Following Conversation Group Treatment in Chronic Aphasia” submitted by Mary Boyle, Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Montclair State University, Christa M. Akers, Doctoral Candidate in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Montclair State University, and Roberta J. Elman, President and Founder of the Aphasia Center of California, to the 2020 American Speech-Language-Hearing Convention was designated as a Meritorious Poster Submission. The Meritorious Poster Submission recognition is for proposals judged by the Convention Program Committee to show extraordinary, exceptional, and innovative work. Each Topic Committee has the option of recommending one or two top-rated posters for this special distinction. The Program Committee received 1531 total poster submissions in 2020, and only 57 were selected for meritorious recognition.
