Joe Attanasio, Professor Emeritus in the Department and Communication Sciences and Disorders, has co-authored the 2nd edition of Theoretical Issues in Stuttering. The book was written with Ann Packman of the University of Sydney.

The book covers current and past theories of stuttering. It provides a review and evaluation of the literature in stuttering and explores the development of new theories. By placing the theories in within their historical context, Packman and Attanasio explore the value of theory in understanding and managing stuttering.
