Dr. Michael Boyle gives keynote presentation at conference in London

On November 3, 2016, Dr. Michael Boyle gave an invited keynote presentation at the “Stammering Pride and Prejudice” Conference at the City Literary Institute of London (City Lit). His presentation, titled “Reducing stuttering stigma in the public: Strategies for change” was well received by over 120 attendees. Boyle was asked to present at the conference due to his international reputation as an active researcher in the area of stigma and stuttering. The goal of the presentation was to inform professionals and advocates about current research findings coming from Boyle and his lab at Montclair State University regarding best practices for improving public attitudes about stuttering. The venue for the presentation, City Lit, is Europe’s largest center for adult education. Michael Boyle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Montclair State University.
