Welcome Dr. Rachel Scheperle

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is pleased to welcome Dr. Rachel Scheperle to the Doctoral Program in Audiology!
Dr. Scheperle received her clinical doctoral degree in audiology (AuD) from Missouri State University and then obtained her PhD in hearing science from the University of Iowa. For the past few years she has been doing postdoctoral training at two of the leading institutions for auditory research in the US – Boys Town National Research Hospital in Nebraska and the University of Iowa. Her research is focused on physiological measures of the auditory system, specifically in individuals with hearing loss who use cochlear implants. She has already published her work in a number of the premier journals in the profession. She will be teaching CSND 701 Auditory Anatomy and Physiology and CSND 621 Implantable Devices for the Remediation of Hearing Loss.
