People at the Filangieri Franklin Corrrespondence Scholarship presentation

The Coccia Institute celebrated the achievements of deserving Italian majors and minors at our annual Italian Scholarships and Awards Ceremony, held on Monday, April 15th from 6:30-8:30pm in the Feliciano School of Business, Room 140. This event featured two alumni presentations by Francesca Oliveri (Communications Specialist at Bindi North America) and Steven LaPeruta (Italian Teacher at Nutley HS), as well as a showcase of diverse Italian arias performed by talented students from the John J. Cali School of Music, under the direction of Professor Karen Driscoll. We would like to thank all who attended this year’s ceremony, including our generous donors (Coccia Foundation, the Inserra Family, Passaic Valley UNICO, and the Italian American Club of Four Seasons at Great Notch). Many thanks to Profs. Gina Miele and Marisa Trubiano, co-chairs of the Scholarship Committee. All attendees enjoyed special treats courtesy of Bindi North America – grazie!
