In celebration of one of Italy’s most iconic and beloved cultural events, students had the opportunity to watch the 73° Festival di Sanremo. Italy’s most famous and highly anticipated annual music festival launched the careers of successful artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti, Il Volo, and Måneskin. This four-night music extravaganza features many musical guests, and typically displays a lineup of 28 artists competing for the chance to win the Festival and participate in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Students watched the first night of the 73° Festival di Sanremo, enjoying pizza and singing along to some of Italy’s newest songs! The turnout was successful, and this will become an annual opportunity for students to engage with Italian popular culture.
