Premiere of Red Sauce: An Italian American Culinary Journey

The Coccia Institute for the Italian Experience in America is thrilled to announce the premiere of Red Sauce: An Italian American Culinary Journey.

Produced in partnership with the School of Communication and Media at Montclair State University, Red Sauce is a docuseries that explores how Italian American food—including pizza, chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, and the Philadelphia cheesesteak—transformed America, and how through food Italians assimilated into American culture.

Red Sauce is narrated by Professor Mark Rotella, Director of the Coccia Institute and the Italian American Foodways Project at MSU.

The premiere of the pilot episode, featuring Patsy’s Tavern in Paterson, took place Wednesday, October 12th from 6:00-8:30pm in the School of Communication & Media Presentation Hall (Room 1040).
