In the Spring of 2021, The College of Humanities and Social Sciences and The Global Center on Human Trafficking offered the following Social Entrepreneurship Co-op Internship Program.
What is Social Entrepreneurship?
Program Overview
The mission of Montclair State’s The Global Center on Human Trafficking (HT) is to study human trafficking, increase knowledge about human trafficking, and develop solutions to the complex problems of human trafficking.
Montclair State and its faculty and staff have an established record of success related to combating human trafficking, including research dissemination, public awareness events, media content distribution, data analytics, training and education and forums with NGO’s.
These ongoing successes are based on the pillars that sustain the structure of Montclair State’s Global Center on Human Trafficking: Education and Training, Research, Advocacy Policy, Networking and Sharing, and Victim Services.
The Center is supported by a team of faculty and staff, reporting into Dr. Peter Kingstone, Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS).
In partnership with the Covenant House of New Jersey, the Center is launching a social entrepreneurship co-op internship program to develop pragmatic solutions to Human Trafficking identified by the organization and their 30 years of experience helping victims.
This co-op internship program will be administered through CHSS and the Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
