Inserra Calendar of Events for 2024-25
Posted in: Homepage News and Events, Inserra
We are very pleased to share the calendar of Inserra events for the AY 2024-25. Join us for lectures, workshops and master classes, as well as a guided tour on a wide array of topics – from WWII history to Fascism, sound in Italian cinema, and Italian piazzas in New York City. Once again, the programs are interdisciplinary in nature: this year, they embrace Italian culture from the perspective of history, urban space, gastronomy, and film. Our guests include prominent scholars in the Italian American Studies and Public History fields (Dr. Simone Cinotto and Dr. Mirco Carrattieri), and an award-winning live sound director (Maricetta Lombardo).
For a more detailed description of the events and reference to the larger ongoing research projects they are linked to, read the Events page.
Free and open to the public, thanks to the support of the Inserra Endowment, the events are the result of collaborations across departments and colleges on campus. These programs constitute ideal opportunities for credit and extra-credit for all kinds of courses on campus that value cultural enrichment outside the classroom.
