Milton Fuentes Gives Keynote Speech at 89th New Jersey Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Meeting

Milton A. Fuentes, professor and coordinator of Undergraduate Advising for Psychology, recently served as the Keynote Speaker for the 89th annual meeting of the New Jersey Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

His keynote, “Recognize and Reduce Implicit Bias in Your Practice,” intends to define cultural humility and the relationship between implicit bias and health disparities. Through the keynote, attendees learned how to recognize their implicit biases and reduce them with aware-raising and prejudice-reduction exercises.
