Four bills that aim to increase protection for victims of human trafficking in New Jersey have been put forth by two members of the state legislature. Ali Boak, director of the Global Center for Human Trafficking provides insight on these bills in this article by New Jersey Monitor.
Prosecutions really are only as successful as the cooperation of the victims. Removing the statute of limitations gives victims more time to heal and recover before being involved in a prosecution. Victims are the best witnesses when they have the protections of a law. – Ali Boak
