Dr. Gina Miele, Professor in World Languages and Cultures, and Dr. Elizabeth Erwin, Professor in the Teaching and Learning Department, will lead a captivating cultural and educational immersion in Bali in Summer 2025.

For the past 2 years, Dr. Erwin has led groups of educators to Bali where living in harmony with the land and one another is a valued part of daily life at home, school and community. This year Dr. Miele will be joining Elizabeth to bring unique cross-cultural, folklore, and interdisciplinary perspectives.

Participants will experience sacred landscapes, exquisite natural beauty, indigenous knowledge, and the heart-centered smiles that Bali is known for. With a focus on environmental sustainability, this meticulously designed itinerary includes school visits to meet with education leaders such as the world-renowned Green School, as well as engaging with local communities that outsiders rarely get to experience. Designed for those who wish to live in harmony with nature, embrace quiet reflection, and enjoy discovery and adventure, this extraordinary travel experience will transform body, mind and soul.
