Posted in: CHSS News, Inserra, World Languages and Cultures
Join us on Sunday June 9 (2pm) for From Montclair to Montechiaro: Discovering Italy in the Local Architecture, a multi-part event tracing Italian influences on the design of local residences and the contribution of Italian “maestranze” in building them.
The program, to be held at the beautiful Van Vleck House and Gardens of Montclair, includes a lecture by MSU Alumna and Decorative Arts historian Kathleen Bennett and by architect Fred Gerard Godlewski; and a coach tour, followed by a musical/vocal performance (tenor Sandro Naglia and pianist David Witten, Professor at the Cali School of Music) and light refreshments.
For more information, see WEBPAGE. Please RSVP by June 7.
This program is presented by the Inserra Endowed Chair in Italian and Italian American Studies (Italian Program, MLL Dept.) in partnership with The Office of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement.
