Jason Williams to Speak at Yale University

Jason M. Williams, assistant professor in the Department of Justice Studies, has been invited to speak on a panel discussion on "Teaching and Researching Racialized Police Violence while Black" at Yale University on March 7, 2018. The panel is sponsored by the Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration.
Williams is an activist scholar and his research focuses on critical policing, race, social control, and criminal justice policy. He is currently conducting on-the-ground critical ethnographic research in Ferguson, Missouri and Baltimore, Maryland following the deaths of Michael Brown and Freddie Gray.
