Patricia Matthew to Lead NEH Workshop in June

Patricia Matthew, associate professor in the Department of English, will be leading a National Endowment for the Humanities workshop as part of the Next Gen PhD Consortium. The workshop, titled “Diversity and the Humanities Ecosystem,” will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at 1:30 p.m.
Matthew is the editor of Written/Unwritten: Diversity and the Hidden Truths of Tenure published in November by the University of North Carolina Press. Matthew’s research also focuses on in British Romanticism (poetry and fiction), the history of the novel, abolitionist British literature, and women’s writing.
