The Emerging Learning Design (ELD) Conference and the Emerging Learning Design Journal (ELDj) are looking for volunteers. Here is an opportunity for anyone to be an active part of the community as well as add an exceptional experience to your CV or resume.  We are looking for people at all levels of experience and expertise.

The Emerging Learning Design Journal is looking for Reviewers.  The ELDj currently publishes proceedings from the ELD Conference but expects to publish its first call-for-manuscripts edition either late 2015 or early 2016.  The ELDJ articles are either full manuscripts, of 2500-4500 words, or Brief or Trend articles at a maximum of 1000 words.  The ELDj is currently looking for reviewers in all areas of expertise to review submissions and provide feedback to the Editor-in-Chief.  The review process is double-blind.

If you are interested in being a Reviewer for the ELDj, please email your interest to eldj@montclair.edu

The Emerging Learning Design Conference is looking for members for the 2015 Organizing Committee as well as Readers to consider and provide input on prospective presentations for the 2015 Conference, scheduled for May 29th, 2015.

ELD15 Organizing Committee members will be expected to attend a couple of short committee meetings (held online) as well as participate in the pre-event organizing process.  The primary focus on the committee work will be to determine a theme for the 2015 event as well as consider options for a keynote speaker.  The work of this committee is expected to be done fairly quickly, like within 4-6 weeks, and most exchange will try to be handled asynchronously, via email, etc..  The committee will remain constituted until the May 29th event.

If you are interested in being on the ELD15 Organizing Committee, please email your interest to eld@montclair.edu

ELD is also looking for Readers to consider presentation proposals.  This process will not begin until mid-to-late September and will continue until December/January.  The submissions are fairly short (about 300 words) and providing input takes only a few minutes per submission.  In past years, reviewers have, on average, considered 3 or 4 submissions.  ELD is looking for reviewers in a variety of fields of interest and levels of expertise.  Those who are planning on submitting for ELD15 can also be a Reader.

If you are interested in being a Reader for the ELD15 submissions, please email your interest to eld@montclair.edu

Please feel free to share this with colleagues who you believe may be interested.
