ELDJ Announces New Editor-in-Chief

The Emerging Learning Design Journal (ELDj) is pleased to introduce Dr. Kirk McDermid as our new Editor-in-Chief. Dr. McDermid is s a tenured assistant professor in Montclair State University’s department of Philosophy and Religious Studies and he has served three years as the Program Chair for the Emerging Learning Design Conference. His research focuses on epistemology (the nature of knowledge), with forays into philosophy of science, plagiarism and learning & assessment, and has taught a wide variety of courses from logic & decision theory to the philosophy of sport. We welcome Dr. McDermid as of August 4th, 2014.
The ELDj would like to take this opportunity to thank outgoing Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Cigdem Talgar, Director, Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning Through Research at Northeastern University As founding Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Talgar, along with Managing Editor AJ Kelton, jumped through all the burning hoops one would expect from getting an academic journal off the ground. Her insight, motivation, and determination were a critical part of getting the ELDj from idea to where it is today.
