The Pulse at CHSS

All students are invited to attend the career fair prep workshop at Schmitt Hall 104 on Monday, February 24th, from 2:00pm – 3:00pm. On Wednesday, February 26th, Dickson Hall will be hosting resume drop-in hours from 10:00am – 4:00pm in Room 436. Students will be assisted on a first come, first serve basis in 15-20 minute intervals. On Wednesday, February 26th, there will be a Summer Job Fair, open to all students! Bring many copies of your resume and your student ID.

The campus is closed Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for Thanksgiving. There will also be an “All Topics Welcomed” Workshop where we will answer all career-related questions. There will be a Faculty Spotlight for “Genius Grant” winner, Dr. Jefferey Miller. Come celebrate his achievements and participate in a Q & A forum at Alexander Kasser Theatre.

This week, there will be a Cover Letter Workshop where your cover letter will be viewed in preparation for job applications onTuesday, November 12th, 2019 from 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm. On Wednesday November 13th, the Student Services will host a Resume Workshop where your resume will be viewed in preparation for job searching. Finally, don’t forget that Spring 2020 registration opened on November 6th.

There will be an “On-The-Spot” Academic and Career Advising for general information about CHSS’s majors, minors and careers on October 14th. CHSS Career Services will be hosting a Resume Workshop to review students’ resumes to prepare them while they job search on October 15th.

The Mix and Mingle will take place on Oct. 2nd from 3:30 to 5:00 pm at the School of Business 4th Floor Terrace. Freshman are invited to chat with faculty, advisors, and staff to learn about cool things happening in your major at the college. There will be the Montclair Fall Career and Internship Fair taking place on Wednesday Oct. 2nd from 1 to 4pm in the University Hall Conference Center, 7th Floor. This fair is open to all current students, graduate students, and alumni!
