Video Production Intern Spring 2020
The CHSS Center for the Digital Humanities is looking for creative and talented interns to provide end-to-end video production support for CHSS college and faculty projects. This is an exceptional opportunity to use the skills one has, learn new skills, and add a substantial item to a resume.
The position is a non-paid, credit-based internship, with a time commitment of 20 hours per week
Site Supervisor: Director, Center for the Digital Humanities
Work Location: Schmitt Hall 135B
Qualifications: Creativity, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must! A working knowledge of HTML, mobile applications, media content planning, video, branding and advertising a plus but not required.

Digital Media Support Intern Spring 2020
The CHSS Center for the Digital Humanities is looking for creative and talented interns to provide digital media support for faculty research projects and ELD activities. This is an exceptional opportunity to use the skills one has, learn new skills, and add a substantial item to a resume.
The position is a non-paid, part-time internship, or can be credit-based, with a time commitment of approximately 20 hours per week, based on the requirements of your specific academic unit.

Web Support and Development Intern Spring 2020
This hands-on internship will place the successful candidate at the core of real-world web site support and development efforts. Reporting to the Director of the CHSS Center for the Digital Humanities (CHD), the intern will be part of the web site design, support, and development for sites including: eld.montclair.edu, eldj.montclair.edu, and www.montclair.edu/chss/center-for-the-digital-humanities/.
This internship covers the fundamentals of a web development and support career, can foster opportunities to grow within the industry and provide invaluable guidance and real world experience.
The position is a non-paid, part-time internship and can be credit based with a time commitment of approximately 20 hours per week, based on the requirements of your specific academic unit.

Work Location: Schmitt 135.
Qualifications: Skills the intern may need, or areas s/he may cover include: coding basic HTML and CSS by hand; create and develop new website elements; develop and test prototype pages; file management, including naming conventions and folder organization; information architecture; functional requirements and design; knowledge of browser-compatibility issues; organize media libraries; post and edit content; user interface design and development; research to help determine potential website features; review and evaluate existing website design and look for ways to improve it; standard web development, tools, best practices and methodologies preferred. Creativity, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must. Experience with graphics and media (audio, video) creation and editing, mobile applications and development, content creation/management, Drupal, WordPress, PHP and PHP frameworks, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, C#, C++, Java or other web development languages, and SEO optimization are a plus but not required. The successful candidate will be well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, able to work individually as well as part of a team, be proficient with technology, including but not limited to either Mac or Windows and Microsoft Office products, and have a desire to learn hands-on what it takes to put a various types of events together.

The CHSS Center for the Digital Humanities is looking for interns to provide support for our projects utilizing GIS. This is an exceptional opportunity to use the skills one has, learn new skills, and add a substantial item to a resume.

Grant Writing Intern Spring 2020:
The CHSS Center for the Digital Humanities (CHD) Grant Writing internship offers students the opportunity to work with key members of the CDH, Emerging Learning Design (ELD), and faculty. Reporting to the Director of the CDH, the Grant Writing intern will work with /assist faculty with their own grants as well as identify and work on grants to support the CDH.
The position is a non-paid, part-time internship, or can be credit-based, with a time commitment of approximately 20 hours per week, based on the requirements of your specific academic unit.
Site Supervisor: Director, CHSS Center for the Digital Humanities
Work Location: Schmitt Hall 135
Qualifications: You should be reliable, self-motivated, well-organized, and have excellent time-management skills. Being able to set priorities and meet deadlines while working on multiple projects is important. You should be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team. Technology is a critical skill for almost any organization, therefore an appropriate level of technical skills is expected, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and Google Drive. Being familiar with both Windows and Mac is a plus, but not required.

Social Media and Public Writing Intern Spring 2020
The Center for the Digital Humanities (CDH) is looking for proactive, engaging, and energetic interns to manage and grow the CDH communities and social media platforms. This is an exceptional opportunity to use the skills one has, learn new skills, and add a substantial item to a resume.
The position is a non-paid, part-time internship and can be credit based with a time commitment of approximately 20 hours per week, based on the requirements of your specific academic unit.
Qualifications: Creativity, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must! The successful candidate will have good familiarity with social media analytics and growth strategies in different platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram. Experience with WordPress, graphics and media (audio, video) creation and editing, website development, mobile applications, content creation/management, media content planning, video, branding and advertising a plus but not required. Can provide evidence of previous content writing (long and short form) experience, such as press releases, news articles, blog posts, white papers, research papers, audio transcripts, and script writing, etc. The successful candidate will be well organized, able to work individually as well as part of a team, be proficient with technology, including but not limited to either Mac or Windows and Google Drive products, and have a desire to learn hands-on.
