The Journal of Emerging Learning Design Announces Name Change

The Emerging Learning Design Journal (ELDj) is an open access, peer-reviewed, online journal that provides a platform for academics and practitioners to explore emerging learning design theories, concepts, and issues and their implications at national and international levels.

MONTCLAIR, NJ – November 17 ,2016 – The Journal of Emerging Learning Design, which invites scholarly communication in the emerging learning design field, announces that it will change its name to The Emerging Learning Design Journal (ELDj). The change in name will better reflect ELDj as a growing platform and provide a roadmap for future success.

“The reasoning behind the name change was to better reflect the activities of the Emerging Learning Design community and its community members”, said AJ Kelton, Co-Editor-in-Chief of  ELDj, “The title as it was originally stated, implied that it was THE Journal of Emerging Learning Design and we don’t believe that ELD has a corner on that market so we renamed the journal to reflect that it is a by-product of the ELD organization and its community and members, as opposed to trying to in some way represent all of emerging learning design.”

ELDj will continue to operate as an open access, peer-reviewed , online journal and retain its current structure.  For details and information, visit http://eldj.montclair.edu
