Student Learning Outcomes
- Students come prepared for their conference, with questions or a draft.
- Students articulate a goal for the session, what they hope to accomplish by meeting with a consultant.
- Students will demonstrate a plan for accomplishing their goals after the session.
- Students will accurately identify and explain the key requirements of the assignment or prompt.
- Students will be able to define revision strategies and how to implement them.
- Students will be able to apply conventions of standard American usage in editing and polishing their work.
- Students will be able to document sources according to the citation style of their discipline, when appropriate.
- Students will be able to recognize when they need additional writing support and either apply strategies from a previous appointment or return to the CWE for additional feedback.
- Students will analyze their own writing process and how to make it work for particular genres and/or purposes.
