Writing Workshops for Fall Semester

Prepare to take your classes by storm, advance your career or become a stronger, more confident writer in general with the writing strategies you will learn in our workshops.
The CWE will provide a series of workshops throughout the fall semester. The same workshop will be offered twice each week, with topics changing weekly.
Workshops are 45 minutes long and do not require advance preparation although we recommend bringing a draft of your own writing that relates to the topic.
Please arrive on time. Workshops are held in Bohn Hall room 494.
Personal Statements
If you are writing a personal statement, application essay or statement of purpose, this workshop is for you! Get valuable tips for this important piece of writing that is required for graduate school and scholarship applications.

Creative Writing: Write a Spooky Story
Do you enjoy spooky stories for Halloween—or any time of year? Come to our creative writing workshop and write a spooky, funny, scary or hairy story of your own. A CWE consultant will lead the way.
