Montclair Community Farms: Flour Movement
The Montclair Community Farms Coalition, Montclair State professors, and the Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation launched a new program in January 2021 to help focus on the emerging local organic grain industry. Youths, 18- to 22-years-old, from low-income communities are learning the basics of growing and processing wheat, and selling organic flour from professional farmers, bakers, chefs, and business owners.
