Faculty and Students Presenting at the American Educational Research Association 2020 Meeting
Posted in: Uncategorized
AERA will not be holding a place-based meeting in San Francisco, CA, in April 2020 due to the coronavirus. Instead, it will be shifted to a virtual meeting.
From April 17 – 21, 2020, researchers in the field of education will meet in San Francisco, California for the American Educational Research Association (AERA) 2020 Annual Meeting . The theme for this year is “The Power and Possibilities for the Public Good When Researchers and Organizational Stakeholders Collaborate.” Attendees will look consciously to their past while seeking to engage organizational stakeholders in the present. Additionally, the meeting’s location plays a key role, as California is leading the country in a new visionary education plan that eschews the “test and punish” of earlier educational policies and partners with students, families, communities, school districts, researchers, and professional learning networks.
In the past, over 14,000 scholars have attended individual AERA Annual Meetings. This year, Montclair State University and the College of Education and Human Services will be represented in San Francisco by over 40 faculty, staff, and students giving approximately 70 lectures, poster presentations, and roundtable discussions at the conference.
The Montclair State University Reception at AERA will be held on April 19, 2020 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the InterContinental San Francisco, Grand Ballroom A.
Below is a full list of Montclair State University community members who will be presenting, along with their presentation topics, times, and locations.
