Dr. Yeon Bai Receives KWiSE Woman Scientist Award

Dr. Yeon Bai, Associate Professor in Nutrition and Food Studies, was recently awarded the 2018 Korean-American Women in Science and Engineering (KWiSE) Woman Scientist Award for her contributions to science and invaluable service. Dr. Bai focuses her work on nutrition and breast cancer education, as well as nutrition counseling. The group aims to strengthen the network of Korean-American women scientists and engineers; provide career development opportunities; and promote international cooperation between the United States and Korea.

Dr. Bai is currently the NY/NJ Chapter lead for KWiSE, and had found the chapter in 2013. The national group was founded in 2004. Dr. Bai received this recognition at the KWiSE conference in early August 2018 at St. John’s University.
