CEHS Doctoral Students Present at Winter Roundtable at Teachers College Columbia University

On February 24th and 25th, 10 Doctoral Students from the Counseling and Family Studies PhD programs presented at the 34th Annual Winter Roundtable at Teachers College Columbia University.

The longest running continuing professional education program in the United States exclusively focused on cultural issues in psychology and education, the Roundtable focuses on research and interventions for community, school, and family settings related to topics including language, literacy, access, cultural values, and experiences with discrimination and empowerment. Through this roundtable, emerging scholars and elders are encouraged to continue building tools to support marginalized communities.

This year’s theme was “From Ferguson to Flint: Multicultural Competencies for Community Based Trauma.”
