Dr. Carolina Gonzalez Guest Speaker at NJ ACE Women’s Network Women of Color Conference

Dr. Carolina Gonzalez, Assistant Dean for Administrative, External, and Student Affairs for the College of Education and Human Services, recently was a guest speaker at the New Jersey American Council on Education (ACE) Women’s Network Women of Color Conference.
Dr. Nicole Pulliam, Associate Professor and Director of the Social Justice Academy at Monmouth University was the moderator. Kay Turner, JD, and Vice President for Human Resources & Title IX at Fordham University was also a guest speaker.
Dr. Gonzalez offered insight during the virtual event, highlighting that personal growth also includes the growth of others around you. She also exclaimed, “Purpose is my compass,” adding that until one is clear on their own goals, they will spend most of their time helping others accomplish goals. Dr. Gonzalez also stressed the importance of knowing your values and reclaiming your time.
For more than 40 years, the NJ ACE Women’s Network has been dedicated to advancing women leaders in higher education. The organization is committed to the professional development of women in higher education roles in New Jersey.
