Dr. Elizabeth Erwin, Professor in the Teaching and Learning Department, will lead another retreat in Bali in Summer 2024. This captivating adventure promises to awaken a deeper sense of inquiry and imagination and at the same time rejuvenate body, mind and soul.
Highlights include inquiry circles and contemplative practices to enhance well-being, visits to local schools to tour and meet education leaders, and full cultural immersion to experience the sacred, ancient lands, indigenous knowledge, and the beautiful people of Bali. Designed for educators and others who wish to live in harmony with nature, enjoy exquisite spaces for quiet reflection, as well as delight in discovery and adventure.
Over the past 30 years, Elizabeth’s teaching and research continues to be shaped by inclusive education and social action – locally, nationally, and globally. She has published widely in prestigious academic journals, and has authored multiple books and chapters. Her latest book, “The Power of Presence: A Guide to Mindfulness Practices in Early Childhood” focuses on partnering with children to promote justice in the world and peace within.
