Dr. Stephanie Silvera Notes Ways to Protect Your Family from COVID-19 this Thanksgiving

“We know from the past couple of months that private gatherings are a main source of COVID-19 clusters in the state and with our numbers increasing, the risk of spreading and contracting the virus is increasing, as well,” said Dr. Stephanie Silvera, Professor in the Public Health Department.
Gatherings at homes accounted for 16% of 188 outbreaks in New Jersey between March and October, state Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli said last month.
Between September and Oct. 5, the leading cause of the 36 recorded outbreaks in the state was private parties, at 17%.
