Dr. Priya Lalvani: Guest Speaker for Think Tank Podcast on Inclusive Education

Dr. Priya Lalvani, Professor in the Teaching and Learning Department, recently was a guest on the Think Tank Podcast, part of the New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education. Dr. Lalvani discussed inclusive education from her perspective as an educator, mother, and researcher.

Dr. Lalvani stated: “So as a disability studies researcher, for me, inclusive education is about equity and rights. Inclusive education is an avenue for equity in schools and therefore ultimately equity in society. My views about inclusive education align with the perspectives of the disability rights movement. Separate education, segregated education. It’s a form of segregation.”
