Dr. Stephanie Silvera, Public Health Professor, noted the benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine for younger children in NJ Spotlight News.

“I think that when you’re looking at the risk associated with the vaccine you also need to weigh out the risk associated with COVID. And I know one of the big concerns for parents is issues with myocarditis. However, we know that myocarditis is more common post-COVID infection than it is post-COVID vaccine. And so for me, the benefits far outweigh the risk,” said Dr. Silvera.
