Dr. Stephanie Silvera, Professor in the Public Health Department, recently was featured on NJ Spotlight News regarding the anticipated FDA approval of the COVID-19 vaccination for younger children.
Younger children could be just weeks away from receiving vaccines for COVID-19. Ahead of a Food and Drug Administration meeting next Tuesday to consider a recommendation to vaccinate children at a younger age, Pfizer released a new study that showed its vaccine is more than 90% effective at preventing symptomatic infections in 5- to 11-year-olds.
Dr. Silvera discusses vaccines for younger kids, and also whether we can expect to see more New Jersey residents roll up their sleeves for booster shots now that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has given the green light to Moderna and Johnson & Jonhson boosters.
