Post-Graduation Survey

What is The Post-Graduation Survey?

The University administers the Post-Graduation Survey to each graduating class to collect information about their plans after graduation. Some information we collect includes:

  • Number of students who are employed, the name of their employer, job title, and salary.
  • Number of students who are continuing their education, what they’re studying, at what institution, and in what field.
  • Number of students still seeking employment or not yet admitted to a graduate program.
  • Information on other post-graduation plans such as volunteer or military service.

How Do I Access The Post-Graduation Survey?

  • Students graduating in May 2025 and beyond, please complete the Survey in Handshake
  • For students who graduated in January 2025, please access the Survey through 12Twenty by entering your NETID and password.

How Will Responses Be Used and Who Benefits?

There are several important reasons we collect this information:

  • To identify students still seeking employment after graduation so they can receive support from their College’s Career Center.
  • To report aggregate-level information for national ranking surveys, College and University accreditation, and other certifications.
  • To support and improve career development strategies and programs for other Montclair State University students.

As you submit this information, please be aware that your name will be associated with your responses. However, when reporting this data to ranking publications, accrediting bodies, or on the University’s website, the data will be aggregated. Furthermore, the University may contact you to invite you to be a guest speaker, participate in alumni panels, connect with students for informational interviews, and/or other alumni activities.
