Dr. Alex Wellerstein, Professor of History, Stevens Institute of Technology, recounts the history of the Westinghouse Table Lamp plant in Bloomfield, NJ. The plant (established in 1920) was initially used for manufacturing lamps and then during World War II it was repurposed to produce uranium metal for the Manhattan Project.
