Ethics for LSRP Professionals

Header image for event

Presented by the Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association. This event also counts towards three credit hours!

This half day professional ethics course for New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professionals will review both general and professional ethics fundamentals, which will serve as the basis for discussion of the Site Remediation Reform Act’s Code of Conduct. Case studies and a panel discussion with various stakeholder viewpoints represented will also occur. The course examines business practices versus the standard of care. The LSRP’s professional ethics statement that “Protection of public health, safety, environment” is the LSRP’s highest priority, will be discussed as will relationships with employers,  clients, and other professional colleagues. Course participants are expected to contribute to discussions of case histories and are encouraged to contribute their own case histories for analysis. This course is intended for LSRPs and environmental professionals (and engineers in closely allied fields). While students and new-hires into the geo-scientific and environmental professions are welcome, the participation of those with several years of experience is needed to generate the discussions that make this course most worthwhile.
