The Bachelor of Science in Accounting is a four-year program that provides an excellent foundation in accounting and business. Its conceptual focus is designed to prepare students for success in a constantly evolving business environment andalso for graduate studies. Whether advising on financial systems and forecasts, interpreting and auditing financial statements, implementing business plans or analyzing overall corporate performance, accountants play a central role in any business. A degree in accounting provides you with a highly valuable, versatile, and in-demand skill set that demonstrates fluency in the language of business. You’ll focus on real-world applications of accounting theories and principles and the tools needed to identify, analyze, interpret and disseminate financial information. Accounting majors pursue careers in public and corporate accounting, tax preparation, corporate finance, and financial planning and consulting.
The program also prepares students to become Certified Public Accountants (CPA). Becoming a CPA is a crucial step for anyone looking to advance in the competitive field of accounting and finance.
