Inserra Supermarkets President Jim Dorey Shares His Journey at MBA Speaker Series

On Tuesday, October 29th, the MBA and Graduate Programs Office hosted the MBA Executive Speaker Series event for the Fall and were excited to welcome Jim Dorey, President and COO of Inserra Supermarkets, as our speaker. Inserra Supermarkets is a family-owned business that operates 23 ShopRite locations across Bergen, Passaic, and Hudson counties in New Jersey, as well as in Rockland County, New York, and employs several thousand associates. Before joining Inserra, Jim served as President of Price Rite Supermarkets, a division of the retailer-owned cooperative Wakefern Food Corp., which manages over 50 stores throughout the tri-state area and New England. Jim grew up in Northern New Jersey and earned his degree from Montclair State University, where he remains active and supportive.

In a discussion titled ‘From MSU to C-Suite: One Alumni’s Journey,’ Jim shared his inspiring path from Montclair State University to becoming a leading executive in the competitive supermarket industry. The conversation was facilitated by entrepreneur and former NFL player David “DAC” Caldwell.
